Global Emergency Services Program (Travel Assistance)

Many of our student plans include a global emergency and travel assistance program. Please check your school brochure to determine if this program is available through your school insurance program. Eligible participants have immediate access to doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and certain other services when faced with a medical-related emergency while traveling internationally or domestically more than 100 miles away from home and school. International students studying in the United States are eligible for services during the duration of their studies.

Medical and personal assistance anywhere in the world
- Medical referrals to English-speaking, Western-trained   physicians
- Foreign Hospital admission guarantee
- Emergency medical evacuations
- Critical care monitoring
- Medically supervised repatriations
- Prescription assistance
- Compassionate visit - transport to join patient (inpatient   for more than 7 days)
- Care and/or transport of unattended minor children
- Return of mortal remains
- Legal and Interpreter referrals
- Emergency trauma counseling
- Lost luggage or document assistance
- Pre-trip information

- Worldwide network of pre-qualified medical providers.
- Medical personnel available 24 hours a day, 365 days a   year.

- Only pays for only services it provides. No claims for     reimbursement will be accepted.

When calling the Operations Center, a case manager will ask for the following information:
- Your name, telephone number and relationship to the   patient
- Patient's name, age, gender, reference number and   school
- Name, location and telephone number of hospital or   treating doctor if possible
